He finished the season with an SEC-leading 14 home runs, a .323 batting average, and 55 RBI.[2] He was named to the All-SEC First Team and the SEC All-Defensive Team.[3]

Woodman was selected in the second round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, and received a $975,000 signing bonus.[4] He was assigned to the Short Season-A Vancouver Canadians, and appeared in 54 games before being promoted to the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts. In 63 total games in the 2016 season, Woodman hit .297 with four home runs, 29 RBI, and 10 stolen bases.[1] Woodman was assigned to Lansing for the entire 2017 campaign, and hit .240 with seven home runs and 45 RBI in 96 games.[1]
