Yulia Managarova (Ukrainian: Юлія Манагарова, Russian: Юлия Манагарова; born 27 September 1988) is a Ukrainian-born Russian handballer for Rostov-Don and the Russian national team.[1]
She played for the Ukrainian national team until 2014.
Managarova decided to take the Russian citizenship because of several reasons. She stated, that since the 2014 Ukrainian crisis, handball in Ukraine is in a miserable state, mostly due to financial difficulties. On the question which country and city does she likes most, Managarova called Russia and Kiev, stating that her move was not easy.[2]
