"It's Only Over for You" is a song written by Mike Reid and Rory Bourke, and recorded by American country music artist Tanya Tucker. It was released in March 1987 as the fourth single from the album Girls Like Me. The song reached #8 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.[1]

The song was first recorded and released by Tammy Wynette on her 1985 album Sometimes When We Touch and subsequently, in 1987, by Michael Johnson on his album Wings.
