Isuzu Truck (UK)

Since Isuzu Truck UK Ltd was formed in 1996, the company has grown considerably and developed a comprehensive dealer network that now spreads extensively throughout England, Scotland and Wales. In 2013 the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Ltd Japan. All Isuzu trucks built for the UK market are manufactured in Japan and assembled near Verona, Italy.

ITUK's purpose-built headquarters based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire is home to the finance & administration, customer CARE, technical service and marketing & sales operations. It was also designed with a state-of-the-art technical centre which is where the company carries out all of the technical training for its dealer service technicians and other personnel.

Customer Care is at the very heart of Isuzu Truck UK. CARE is the company's award-winning sales and aftersales customer service programme and was the brainchild of the ITUK's honorary Chairman, Nikki King. The Care Programme is completely unique within the commercial vehicle industry and ITUK prides itself on building a great relationship with customers. Care Programme membership is activated as soon as a customer's new vehicle is registered and on the road. They are given a dedicated Customer Liaison Executive who will contact them throughout the truck’s warranty period to ensure the customer is happy with both the vehicle's performance and with the service they receive from the ITUK dealer network. The Care team are always on hand to answer any questions that a customer may have and are only too happy to help.

The Isuzu Range

Isuzu Truck UK sells trucks from 3.5t GVW up to 13.5t GVW. The award-winning 3.5t Grafter is available with a number of body configurations to suit many different types of operation. It is particularly popular in the construction, landscaping and arboriculture sectors due to its reliability, efficiency and compact footprint. The Isuzu Grafter has been awarded 'Best Builder's Truck'' five years in a row by Trade Van Driver magazine.

At 7.5t, the Isuzu Forward and Urban models are popular with vehicle recovery operators and plant hire companies. The Urban comes with a 150PS 3.0 litre diesel engine, while the Forward features a 190PS 5.2 litre diesel engine.

ITUK also operates a Driveaway range, which includes a number of pre-bodied trucks that are available to customers at much shorter lead times. The Driveaway range includes the following vehicles:

Isuzu Motors Japan Ltd

Globally, Isuzu’s origins can be traced right back to 1916, when the Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding & Engineering Company diversified into car production. In 1933 it launched a new car model and named it after a Japanese river. In fact, so popular was the car, the company decided to adopt the river’s name as its own company name – ‘Isuzu’.

In the United Kingdom, the Isuzu D-Max pickup is sold and distributed by International Motors, not Isuzu Truck UK.
