History
Islamic Azad University, Shahrekord Branch (IAUSHK) located in the northern zone (Rahmatieh) of Shahrekord, the capital of nature in Iran, was established in 1987. until now, more than 42000 students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels has been graduated. IAUSHK has 310 full and part-time faculty members continues its educational and research activities in 120 fields.

Department of Biomedical Engineering
Research in biomedical engineering includes biological signal processing, biomedical image processing, and biomedical instrumentation. Research in the field of mechatronics is actively pursued in fault diagnosis and biomechatronics.
Department of Electrical Engineering
Department of Electrical Engineering is proud of the depth and breadth of the research being conducted by its faculty members and researchers. Research covers a wide spectrum of areas spreading from nanoelectronics and nanostructures to microscale electronic circuits, systems, and devices, in electronics, and to large scale systems such as power plants and smart power distribution networks in power engineering. Active research in the field of communications comprises electromagnetic fields and waves as well as communication circuits and systems realized using both regular and optical approaches.
Faculty of Science
The Office of Parking & Transportation Services performs a variety of functions for the campus, including maintenance of parking lots, shuttle bus services and parking assignments for employees and students.
Beside of entrance gates, two large car parks have been considered for students and visitors cars. Professors, staff and Ph.D. students must display a valid parking permit for parking inside of campus. Parking permits are available from Parking & Transportation Services.
Inside transportation are doing by minibus and taxi service from 8 am until 5 pm. In addition, Shuttle buses are active for transporting staffs and students from city center(centre) to university and vice versa.
Faculty of Veterinary
For fresh water saving, a research project was done entitle" Reuse of wastewater for irrigation of landscape Khorasgan (Isfahan) Branch, Islamic Azad University" by Dr Payam Najafi from 2005 until 2009. After this research project, a large scale of project was designed for reuse of the wastewater of public buildings of university for irrigation of pine, cypress and olive trees in area of main campus of university. The components of project are included Sewage Collection Network, initial wastewater treatment, central control unit of irrigation and subsurface drip irrigation.
Greenhouses drain water reuse
For the purpose of increasing greenhouse production, the drain water of flowers greenhouse were used for irrigation of cucumber and tomato greenhouses.
