Irishad Ahmad is professor and the Director of the Florida International University Moss School of Construction in Miami, Florida and the former editor in chief of the Journal of Management in Engineering (ASCE) 2002-2008.

Apart from his teaching and academic activities, Ahmad pursues a parallel track concerned with issues related to social problems, particularly the ones related to Bangladesh. He also has serious interest in freethinking, politics and human rights of people.
