Summer Student World Championships
The Summer Student World Championships (also known as Pre-Universiade) its original name was International Universities Championships organised for the first time in 1923 by the Confédération Internationale des Étudiants (CIE), from 1930 renamed as International University Games, than from 1949 became Summer International University Sports Week, was biennal editions, for the first time under lega of the Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU). At the end it assumes the current denomination Universiade in 1959.[1]
