Innova Capital Partners is an American investment firm, which invests in the energy, telecommunications, and infrastructure sectors. Innova is a subsidiary of The Goldman Sachs Group.

As a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, Innova invests its own capital and operates worldwide however, the firm prefers to focus its investments in the United States, Colombia, and Mexico. Innova is headquartered in New York City, New York.[1]

History

In 2016, Goldman Sachs' revenue from Latin America increased by 50 percent and in April 2016, it announced a joint venture with Innova to develop telecommunication assets in Colombia.[2] The alliance will finance the Columbian company Golden Comunicaciones, which designs and develops mobile infrastructure, specifically with the construction of cell phone towers.[3]

In June 2016, Innova and Naspers invested $53 million in Movile, a Brazilian mobile content, food ordering, and delivery, ticketing, and logistics company.[4] In December 2017, Innova and Naspers invested an additional $82 million into the company to increase Movile's stake in iFood, a Latin American food delivery vendor.[5]

In September 2017, Innova announced its partnership with Ciel & Terre (C&T) to develop floating solar projects in Columbia. Innova will operate as a developer and investor while C&T will provide the PV technology.[6]
