Inhul (Ukrainian: Інгул) is a left tributary of the Southern Bug (Boh) and is the 14th longest river of Ukraine. Do not confuse it with a similar in name river Inhulets with which it has little relations.
It starts north of Kropyvnytskyi (Central Ukraine), flowing south towards the Southern Bug at Mykolayiv, which is 65 km (40 mi) north (up river) from where the Southern Bug River empties into the Black Sea. The Inhul River is about 300 km (190 mi) long.
The Greek historian Herodotus mentions the river as the Pantikapes in his Histories (4.54), during his description of the land of Scythia.
