Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa is the second largest cement producing company in Indonesia which was acquired by the German company HeidelbergCement in 2001.[1] In 2008, the company operated 12 cement factories, nine of which are located in Bogor, two in Cirebon and one in Kotabaru.

The company's production in 2011 stood at 18.6 million tons or around of 30 percent share of the domestic cement market and would be 25 million tons in 2016 or 2017 with additional plants at Cirebon, West Java, and two other plants in Central Java.[2]

Award

The company received the "Indonesia Green Awards 2011" from Forestry Minister due to the company use alternative fuels, reduce dust emission inline with the national standard and planting and cultivating Jatropha curcas on ex-quarry.[3]
