History

Independiente FC

Independiente had their most successful seasons in the 1980 and 1982 campaign, where they reached the final of the Primera División.

Independiente Nacinal 1906

The owners of Coca-Cola football decided to change name to Nacional 1906 and through a partnership with Independiente San Vicente were reformed to Independiente Nacional 1906. Independiente Nacional won promotion in 2006 to Salvadoran Premier League, however due to poor results.

Modern History

After a five-year hiatus, the club was resurrected and began playing in Tercera Division for 2013 and they stayed there for three years. Despite being a top side they just didn't have the personnel to win qualification to Segunda Division.
