Ichagarh is a village in the Seraikela Kharsawan district of Jharkhand and the centre of the Adityadeo rajput family. It is one of the assembly area in the state of Jharkhand.

History


Ichagrah Royal family

  • famous by the name of " SONAR PATKUM " the princely estate of Ichagarh was established by the mighty "taal- betal" king of ujjain maharaja Vikramaditya in the era "vikram savant " 1-101.On the banks of swarnarekha river he also established temples.

The successors of maharaja vikramaditya developed dayapur, dulmi of Ichagarh as their capital and named the state "ichagrah" after maharani ichha , wife of maharaj vikramaditya .

Contribution of the royal family in public life

Uday Aditya Deo -Vikramaditya Deo—shatrughan Aditya Deo—Prabhat kumar Aditya Deo.

the then king Shatrughan Aditya Deo was very much interested in education and educating the people of Ichagarh and nearby estates. He established high school in khunti. Then after raja prabhat kumar aditya deo played a major role in the establishment of Singhbhum College Chandil.
