Fonds de dotation de l'ICOM

The Fonds de dotation de l'ICOM (ICOM Endowment Fund of the International Council of Museums), founded in 2013 in Paris at UNESCO,[1][2][3][4][5] supports initiatives that shape 21st century museums. The Funds provides financial and operational support for activities which address the global community of museums, promoting the social role of the museums and their contribution to intellectual, artistic and heritage life. The ICOM Fund's actions have several objectives: improving the social value of museums, supporting innovation in museums, preserving heritage, implementing risk-reduction measures, strengthening professional skills, and capacity building. The Fund supports, besides the activities of the International Council of Museums such as publications, exhibitions,[6][7] and trainings,[8][9][10] International Museum Day, European Museum Forum,[11] The Best in Heritage[12] and the European Museum of the Year Award.

Bjorn Stenvers is Executive Director of the Fonds de dotation de l'ICOM.[13]
