Its natural habitats are dry savanna, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, rivers, shrub-dominated wetlands, swamps, freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, rural gardens, urban areas, water storage areas, ponds, and canals and ditches.
