"Hot 2Nite" is a song by American R&B group New Edition. It’s the only single from their seventh studio album, One Love, the first since the Heartbreak album to not feature Bobby Brown. It features lead vocals from Ronnie DeVoe, Ricky Bell, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant. It's one of only two singles to feature lead sung vocals by DeVoe (the others is Popcorn Love).
Background
Hot 2Nite was produced by Ryan Leslie initially for New Edition's album, One Love, released in 2004 under the label Bad Boy Records. However, the track became popular and, as a result, was released as a single later on August 14, 2004.
At the time of the track becoming popular, there were some unofficial remixes spreading around cyberspace, although rapper The Game was featured on Bad Boy's official remix, also released on the single.
