Hon. Obinna Chidoka (born January 7, 1974) is an indigene of Obosi,[1] Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.[2] A sociology graduate of University of Lagos and an Honourable member of the House of Representatives[3] representing Idemili North[4] and Idemili South[5] Federal Constituency in the 8th Nigerian National Assembly.[6] He is Chairman of the House Committee on Environment and Habitat.[7]

Hon. Chidoka was the youngest member of the House of Representatives in the 6th Assembly where he had his first stint from June 2007-July 2008[8] (a period of 13 months) during which period he effectively represented his constituency and sponsored several bills and motions. Although he was one of the youngest members of the House of Representatives during this period he was celebrated as an astute legislator. He also initiated many laudable projects which advanced the development of his Constituency and endeared him to the people. His focus is to provide solution to key social, economic and political challenges affecting the people and creating tangible platform to uplift his Constituents, with a view to making Idemili North & South Local Government Areas models of adequate security, improved access to qualitative health care systems, education, social infrastructure and thriving economic sector.[9]

Hon. Chidoka is a responsible family man and married to Mrs. Nneka Chidoka, his beautiful wife of 7 years, and together they have three (3) lovely children. He is an astute businessman with key business interests in Construction, Automobile, Entertainment and Information Technology and he has applied these vast experiences to lawmaking at the National Assembly[10] and in advancing the development of Idemili North/South Federal Constituency. Hon. Chidoka is passionate about the environment and urges Nigerians to pay close attention to environment issues at all times.

In addition to being the Chairman, House Committee on Environment and Habitat, he is a member of House Committees on Aviation,[11] Constituency Outreach, Industry, Petroleum (Downstream),[12] Youth and Social Development, Culture & Tourism and Local Content in the 8th Assembly.
