Into Something Good: The Mickie Most Years 1964–72
Into Something Good: The Mickie Most Years 1964–1972 is a 4-CD box set by British group Herman's Hermits, released 2008 on EMI.
The box contains a complete representation of all of the recordings Herman's Hermits recorded for official release from 1964 to 1972, plus previously unreleased rarities, unreleased tracks, as well as a few singles released by their pretty boy Lead Singer Peter Noone, recorded as a soloist on the producer's RAK label, after he left the group.
The Hermits were a British pop group, produced by Mickie Most during the entire length of their 8-year career. They charted in the U.S. and Britain fairly regularly because of their pop accessibility that was a result of simple but very well-crafted arrangements. "As one quickly discovers, the Hermits work was an embarrassment of pop/rock riches second only to the Beatles in consistency, if not ambition."[1]
