Hebron Christian Academy is a private, co-educational, college preparatory Christian school in Dacula, Georgia, United States. Founded in 1984 as the Northeast Atlanta Christian School, Hebron has grown from a small handful of students to a student body of over 900 in kindergarten through 12th grade.
In 1999, Hebron Baptist Church purchased Northeast Atlanta Christian School. The name was subsequently changed to Hebron Christian Academy. The school is currently located on two campuses in the city of Dacula. Classes are offered for kindergarten through twelfth grade in a traditional classroom setting.
Fine arts
Hebron Christian Academy offers art, graphic design, music, drama, video production, and band.
Athletics
Hebron offers a wide range of athletic programs, and offers interscholastic competition in soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, football, swimming, golf, softball, cross-country, tennis, fishing, and cheerleading.
The varsity girls' golf team finished one season with a third place finish in the state championship at Bull Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Georgia.
The varsity boys' tennis team made it to the Sweet Sixteen in the State Tournament.
The middle school girls' soccer team finished as the runner-up in the North Atlanta Metro League.
The varsity baseball team (33-3) swept in-county rival Providence Christian to win the GHSA 'A' State Championship. It is the school's first state championship.
2011 graduate and shortstop for the state championship baseball team, Danny Lockhart, became the school's first graduate to sign a professional sports contract. The 10th round selection by the Chicago Cubs signed on July 28, 2011 and reported for rookie league in Arizona shortly thereafter.
The varsity boys' soccer team advanced to the third round of the state playoffs.
The varsity girls' soccer team won the region and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs.
Hebron has a rivalry with Providence Christian Academy of Lilburn.
Hebron Baptist Church
HCA is a ministry of Hebron Baptist Church. The school and church work hand in hand in addressing both the spiritual and academic needs of the community, although the church and school have separate financial and administrative entities.
