John Sims (b. January 27, 1966) is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Haystacks Calhoun Jr. He was billed in many promotions as the "Hornswigglin Hilbilly". His gimmick is very similar to Haystacks Calhoun.
Career
Born in Florida, Sims was trained by brothers Dean Malenko and Joe Malenko and made his wrestling debut in 1988 in Florida.
Calhoun Jr. traveled to Japan in 1992 to wrestle for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling. He teamed up with Sambo Asako as a tag team. He had matches against Atsushi Onita, Tarzan Goto Mike Awesome, Sabu, The Sheik and Kojo Nakagawa. His biggest highlight match was a loss to Sabu by count after he missed Sabu going through a table. His biggest victory was a disqualification win over The Sheik. By 1993 he left Japan.
After leaving Frontier, he continued wrestling as an independent. He feuded with Bull Buchanan. During most of his career he wrestled for IPW Hardcore Wrestling and Juggalo Championship Wrestling.
Calhoun retired in 2003 to become a promoter.
