Harriet May Mills

Harriet May Mills (1857 – May 15, 1936) was a prominent American civil rights leader who played a pivotal role in the 19th century women's rights movement. She is a graduate of Cornell University. Mills was a friend and respected associate of the leading suffragists of the day including Lucy Stone, Susan B. Anthony, Carrie Chapman Catt and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Mills died in Syracuse on May 16, 1935, after a period of illness.
