Happy Television (Serbian: Хепи ТВ/Hepi TV, also known as Happy TV or just Happy) is a popular, privately owned, national TV network in Serbia. Happy TV has gained a strong reputation for its entertainment programming. The station offers a compilation of international/domestic movies, American sitcoms, dramas, Indian soap operas and Latin telenovelas, as well as locally produced talk/variety shows, and lately domestic sitcoms and reality shows.

Happy TV's parent company is the Belgrade-based Invej Company, which also owns many of business entities that often serves as sponsors of the program, which is owned by Predrag Ranković.

History

In April 2006, a joint bid of TV Košava and kids channel Happy TV won the national broadcasting license in Serbia at a public tender organized by the Serbian Broadcasting Agency. 2010 TV Košava bought kids channel Happy TV and from September they started programming as one national broadcaster with name Happy TV. Kids block called Happy Kids started broadcasting from 11 pm to 1 pm. Happy TV is first Serbian television with a television block. Since 2016, block is not airing.

Happy TV started getting a high viewership because of it's TV series and movies airing, most because of Turkish drama series and Latin American telenovelas. Since it's beginning, Happy TV has been made several reality TV shows, with Parovi as most popular of them. Reality show Parovi got Happy TV huge success and big viewership, but also a big criticism.
