in 2015 Gurney's underwent a major renovation and retrofitting. The revised Gurney', now referred to as Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa has been upgraded to a fine resort and is one of the most popular resorts in Montauk New York. It also features the one and only license on the East End allowing it to function as "an on ocean beach restaurant." It now features renovated rooms and a large up to date spa.[4] In 2018, it expanded its property by acquiring the Montauk Yacht Club Resort and Marina which is to be renamed as "Gurney’s Montauk Yacht Club & Resort".
