Volume 3 is the third in a series of live digital downloads of the band the Grateful Dead released by The Grateful Dead Productions. It was released on July 5, 2005, and was recorded on October 26, 1971, at The Palestra in Rochester, New York. This was the fifth show with new band member Keith Godchaux on keyboards. He was added as a member because of the failing health of Ron "Pigpen" McKernan. This release is an almost complete concert; it drops "Beat It On Down the Line" which was played after "Loser".

Volume 3 was mastered in HDCD by Jeffrey Norman.
