Grangetown railway station was a railway station that served the township of Grangetown, North Yorkshire, England from 1885 to 1991 on the Tees Valley line.

History

The station opened as Eston Grange in 1885 by the North Eastern Railway. The station was situated about 1 km from the current Grangetown.[1] The station's name was changed to Grangetown in January 1902.[2] Grangetown was one of the stations to have been adversely affected due to the closure of factories, having only a few passengers left.[3] The station was closed to both passengers and goods traffic in November 1991.
