The Gold Derby Awards (or Gold Derby TV and Film Awards) are awards given by the website Goldderby.com (Gold Derby) for television and film.[1][2] The awards began in 2003.[3][4][5] Owned by Jay Penske since 2015, it is a brand of the Penske Media Corporation.[6] For the television awards, the competition is open to programs released or aired during the calendar year, usually before the Primetime Emmy Awards. Winners are selected entirely by a written balloting of active members.[7]
