George Roe Van De Water

George Roe Van De Water (April 25, 1854 March 15, 1925) was an Episcopal priest and a major proponent of the compatibility of Freemasonry with Christianity. A prominent American of Dutch descent, he was a graduate of the General Theological Seminary and a member of the Saint Nicholas Society of the City of New York and the Holland Society of New York. He served as rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (New York City) from 1880 to 1920.
