George B. Kauffman (born 1930 in Philadelphia) is an American chemist. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and Ph.D. from the University of Florida. Dr. Kauffman is currently a Professor of Chemistry at California State University, Fresno. He has written over 17 books, and over 2,000 articles. He won the Dexter Award from the American Chemical Society, and was a Guggenheim Fellow.[1]
