Frasnes

Frasnes is a place name common to several settlements in south-western Belgium:

  • Frasnes-lez-Anvaing, a Walloon municipality located in the Belgian province of Hainaut
  • Frasnes-lez-Buissenal, a village in Frasnes-lez-Anvaing
  • Frasnes-lez-Gosselies, a village in Les Bons Villers, a Walloon municipality in the Belgian province of Hainaut. It was the location of the first hostilities between elements of the Duke of Wellington's army and the French on 15 June 1815—the day before the Battle of Quatre Bras
  • Frasnes-lez-Couvin, a village in Belgium after which the Frasnian faunal stage is named
