Alan Wayne 'Frank' Burns (born 26 March 1961) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer of the 1980s.

Born in the Sydney suburb of North Sydney. he played at club level for North Sydney Bears, Wakefield Trinity (Heritage № 922), and Western Suburbs Magpies, as a stand-off/five-eighth, Second-row, or loose forward/lock, i.e. 6, 11 or 12, or 13.[1] His nickname 'Frank' comes from the M*A*S*H character Frank Burns.
