Fiona Fowler

Fiona Fowler (née Themann) (b. 18 April 1990[1]) is a professional netball player. Primarily a goal-defence and goal-keeper, Fowler is currently playing in the Australian Suncorp Super Netball League for the Adelaide Thunderbirds[2]. Fowler was born in Shepparton, and has also represented the Scottish Thistles including appearances at the 2014 Commonwealth Games the 2015 Netball World Cup[3] and the 2018 Commonwealth Games[4]

ANL (Victorian Fury)

Fowler returned to Victoria in 2015, signing with the Victorian Fury netball team in the Australian Netball League (ANL). As part of the team's leadership group, she helped lead the Fury to back-to-back premiership title wins in 2015 and 2016[5]

Domestic Career

Adelaide Thunderbirds

The Adelaide Thunderbirds officially announced the signing of Fowler on a two-year deal as a part of their inaugural team for the Suncorp Super League on their website on 23 September 2016.[6] She was re-signed for the 2018 season by the Thunderbirds before deciding to return to Victoria and focus on her career outside of netball.[7][8]

International Career

In 2014, Fowler made her debut for the Scottish Thistles against Trindad & Tobago at the Commonwealth Games[1]. She has since represented her country including appearances at the 2015 Netball world Cup and 2018 Commonwealth Games.
