Hannah Grey (née Wood) was raised on her father's estate at Fallodon and married Sir Henry Grey, first baronet of Howick. One of their children was Charles Grey, 1st Earl Grey. Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey and Sir George Grey, 1st Baronet of Fallodon were his sons. Eliza Courtney was a daughter of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey. Sir George Grey, 2nd Baronet of Fallodon and Edward Grey, 1st Viscount Grey of Fallodon also grew up at Fallodon which remains the family seat.
