The Serbia and Montenegro national basketball team represented Serbia and Montenegro in international basketball matches from 1993 to 2006 and was governed by the Basketball Federation of Serbia and Montenegro.
History
After the Breakup of Yugoslavia in 1991–1992, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia made their own teams and now smaller Yugoslavia (FR Yugoslavia) was represented by Serbia and Montenegro. The team was named "Yugoslavia national basketball team" or "FR Yugoslavia national basketball team" until 2003 after the country. In 2003, after the country was renamed, the team was also renamed to "Serbia and Montenegro national basketball team".
Olympics
At the Summer Olympic Games, Serbia and Montenegro participated three times and won silver medal in 1996.

At the FIBA World Basketball Championships, Serbia and Montenegro captured two gold medals (1998 and 2002).
