FC Šiauliai was a Lithuanian football team from the city of Šiauliai. Simply was known as "Šiauliai".
History
In 1994 was established Basketball and football club "Šiauliai" (KFK "Šiauliai"). In 1994 was founded basketball team and later, in 1995, was founded football team. This football team played in Antra lyga (3rd tier) and had no ambitions for promotion. Club was concentrated in basketball championship LKL. But situation in Šiauliai City changed, when FK Kareda Šiauliai was sold in 1999 and removied from Šiauliai to Kaunas, and when FK Sakalas Šiauliai was dissvolved in 2003. Football team KFK Šiauliai breaked up with basketball team.
2004
In beginning of 2004 was established new organisation VšĮ „Šiaulių futbolo klubas“. Soon was founded the new FK „Šiauliai“ team, and heads of the new club declarated, that want to have strong team and take winner position and take promotion to A Lyga.
In 2004 FK Šiauliai got promotion to Pirma lyga. In this season they dominated in second level and won 2004 Pirma lyga. They got promotion to A lyga and in 2005 started play in elite division.
From 2005 FK Šiauliai played in A lyga. When team taked 4th place in championship, they could play in European level. 2010–11 UEFA Europa League lost to Wisła Kraków aggregate 0-7. In 2012–13 UEFA Europa League lost to FC Levadia Tallinn (2-2 aggr., bur away scored goal let estonian go next round).
Before 2014 A lyga changed FK Šiauliai into FC Šiauliai.
2015 was very scandalous for team. Match fixing and other scandals was on top. And team had serious finansial problems, could not pay a salary for players.
In January 2016 players went to first training, but municipality of Šiauliai City, the general sponsor of club, don`t get them sponsorship and team was disvolved. The shortly was said, that team not will play in any competition.[1] Later was said about dissvolvement.[2]

Savivaldybė Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Šiauliai, Lithuania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FK Šiauliai. The stadium holds 4,000 people. The address of the stadium: S. Daukanto g. 23, Šiauliai.
