Etonbury Academy (formerly Etonbury Middle School) is an extended secondary school with academy status that is located in Central Bedfordshire, catering for the 9 – 16 age range; each split across Year 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11. The Ofsted rating is "Requires Improvement" following an inspection on 16 November 2017. Expected number of students on roll for September 2017 is approximately 960 with further expansion in every subsequent year. In July 2017 SATS results significantly exceeded the national average in all subject areas.

Senior staff

From September 2018 the senior leadership team consists of the Principal, Mr Ian Evason, with two Vice-principals, Chris Redding and Trudie Squires, School Manager Victoria Lockey, the SENDCOS, Amy Mew and Isobel Whent, Assistant Principal and Key Stage 4 Development Manager Ravi Baga, Assistant Principal and Head of Key Stage 2 Theresa McGuire, and School Systems Leader Ian Bodger.

Development

The academy is to undergoing major investment, development and expansion - and became a full extended secondary school covering the age range 9–16 years on 1 September 2016. Major new building already completed includes classroom blocks, a new study centre, multimedia and drama studio, rooftop art rooms and art terraces, Design Technology workshops, Science Labs, new management offices and The Pendleton (named for Victoria Pendleton CBE who was a student at the school) community sports and fitness centre along with a 3G AstroTurf pitch.

Phase 2 Expansion Build has been completed and will be open as of September 2018. It comprises further additional science labs, food technology rooms, additional classrooms and the Etonbury Juniors block for Yr5 and Yr6 students.
