The Erwin Cubs were a minor league baseball team that played in Erwin, Tennessee, in the Appalachian League from 1943 to 1944.[1] They played as the Erwin Aces in 1943, but changed to the Cubs in 1944, taking the name of their Major League Baseball affiliate, the Chicago Cubs. The team came to Erwin by way of Elizabethton, Tennessee, where they had played as the Elizabethton Betsy Red Sox through 1942. They returned to Elizabethon in 1945, becoming the Elizabethton Betsy Cubs.
