Ek Shringaar – Swabhimaan (English: Self-Respect-An Adornment) commonly abbreviated as Swabhimaan is an Indian television series produced under the banner Rajshri Productions,[2] by Sooraj Barjatya. The show premiered on December 19, 2016,[3][4] on Colors TV and replaced the long-running and colors' third highly rated show Swaragini.[5] This show is also available on Voot, Viacom18's Digital Platform. The show revolves around two sisters Meghna (Sangeeta Chauhan), Naina (Ankitta Sharma) and their mother Sharda (Prachi Shah) who has raised her daughters to be independent and self-sufficient. The series aired its final episode on 29 September 2017.[1] It was later shifted to the 11:00 PM Time Slot. It was replaced by Colors TV Show Laado - Veerpur Ki Mardani at the 9:30 PM Primetime Slot.[6]

Plot

After graduating in the city, Meghna and Naina who are beloved daughters of a school teacher Sharda return to her to stay in their uncle's house. Sharda searches for a suitable groom for Meghna. Incidentally, Meghna falls in love with Kunal, the eldest son of Nand Kishore Chauhan. Sharda requests Nand Kishore to approve the relation for which Nand Kishore asks her to arrange a royal wedding and manage the expenses. She manages to do so but on the marriage day, Nand Kishore gets enraged by Sharda's sister in-law Asha. So he puts a condition that Naina should be married to his younger son Karan. After the couples get married, Meghna decides to teach Nand Kishore a lesson for making Sharda suffer. Nand Kishore's wife Nirmala's friend Sandhya always tries to discourage Karan. Naina makes Karan overcome his disabilities and they both unite even after some incidents. Later, it is revealed that Kunal is Sandhya's biological son and Nirmala adopted him. Asha's son Vishal and Nand Kishore's daughter Khyati love each other and get married. At the end, Nand Kishore realizes his mistakes and gets well with his family.
