Edith González (Spanish pronunciation: [eˈðit ɣonˈsales]; born Edith González Fuentes on December 10, 1964) is a Mexican actress and dancer.[1]

Work

González has worked for the Spanish-language television networks Televisa, Telemundo, and TV Azteca. It was while working for Televisa that she played some of the most important roles in Mexican telenovelas. In 2010 she switched from Televisa to TV Azteca.[2] Her first telenovela with TV Azteca was Cielo Rojo; her first appearance on TV Azteca was in the reality show La Academia.

Personal life

González has a daughter, Constanza (born August 17, 2004), whose father is Mexican politician Santiago Creel.[1][3]

In 2010, González married Lorenzo Lazo Margáin.[1]

In 2016, González was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. She underwent surgery to have her ovaries, uterus, and lymph nodes removed, and is currently in remission.
