The Boulet Brothers, known individually as Dracmorda and Swanthula Boulet, are nightlife producers and hosts who developed the Dragula TV series based loosely off their long-running club event of the same name.[2][12] The club night ran monthly in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with special events in New York[13][14] and Austin, Texas.[15] Past winners of the club version of Dragula include Killer,[16] RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Valentina, and both Meatball and Pinché Queen, who later competed in Season 1 of the Dragula TV series.

Season 3
On December 5, 2017, OutTV and Boulet Brothers Productions announced that the third season had been greenlit. Season 3 retains the partnership with OutTV, though The Boulet Brothers have yet to specify which outlet will broadcast it in the United States.[10]
The Boulet Brothers announced via Twitter on February 23, 2018, that casting would be starting soon and used the hashtag "Season of the Witch".[41] Casting began on March 7, 2018[42] and commenced twenty-one days later on March 28, 2018.[43]
The prize for the third season will be $25,000.[44]
Reception
Since its original online airing, Dragula has received positive reviews. April Bennett, writing for Wicked Horror, considers the show to be a "truly horrifying experience".[45] Vice writer Jeff Leavell reviewed the series as being "loud, weird" and that it "pisses on heteronormativity". He also said that Dragula should not be thought of as "just a show about drag queens who love grotesque, hardcore queer performance art", and that "in its own way, it's encouraging us to stand united, whether you’re a supermonster or not".[1]
