Douglas James Scalapino

Douglas James Scalapino (born: December 10, 1933) is an American physicist note for his contribution to theoretical condensed matter physics.

Life

He was born on December 10, 1933 in San Francisco.[1]

Career

He completed his undergraduate degree from Yale in 1955 and his PhD from Stanford in 1961.[2]

He is currently a Research Professor of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara.[2]

Awards

In 1998, he received the Julius Edgar Lilienfeld Prize.[3]
