Diego Rodríguez (Son of El Cid)

Diego Rodríguez (c. 1075–15 August 1097) was the son of El Cid, the famous Spanish soldier, and Jimena Díaz.

He was killed fighting the Muslims at the Battle of Consuegra.

Since 1997 an annual commemoration of his death has been held in Consuegra.
