Baghicha Dheri

Baghicha Dheri (Mardan)

Kakakhel (tribe) inhabitants of Mardan District mainly belong to the village of "Baghicha Dheri" (meaning fruit bearing hill), previously known as Surkh Dheri (meaning red rock). In 18th century Mian burhanuddin migrated to the land of baghecha dheri as he was an educated man according to the standards of those times. He got the Title of "'Khan Bahadur" from their British saviours. Mian Faqir Ahmad became the Elder of baghecha Dheri after burhanudins death. The main reason of migration of Kakakhel (tribe) to Surkhdehri was the invitation from the locals of Ghari ismailzai and Ghari Daulat zai for the settlement of their disputes regarding land issues which resulted in many murders frequently among them. In the past honest people mostly preaching Islam would be considered for resolving such issues for Allah's sack. As Kakakhel were settled at the boundary of Ghari daulatzai and Ghari Ismail zai, therefore, the long-held enemy of said locals was converted into friendship and they were enjoying peaceful life. Today the Kakakhel tribe of Baghecha Dheri are the most sophisticated people of Mardan District and are serving in different sectors of Pakistan but do not take part in politics as unfairness is common and majority based.
