Defense News is a global website[1] and magazine about politics, business and technology of defense. Defense News serves an audience of senior military, government and industry decision-makers throughout the world.[2]

Defense News is published by the Defense News Media Group, a unit of Sightline Media Group, which was once a part of Gannett Company.[3][4][5] Sightline Media Group was sold to Los Angeles-based private equity firm Regent in 2016 by TEGNA. .[6]
Broadcast journalism
Defense News and Washington D.C. CBS affiliate WUSA 9 created a weekly TV program called This Week in Defense News with Vago Muradian, which first aired on March 2, 2008. The show centers on international defense and military issues. It initially aired on ABC 7 WJLA and the Armed Forces Network.[7][8]
On April 3, 2017, Sightline Media Group announced the show would move to WETA-TV and be called Defense News Weekly.[9] [10] Tony Lombardo, executive editor of Defense News’ partner brand, Military Times, was announced as the show's co-host with Jill Aitoro.
