Dearly Departed Tours & Artifact Museum

Dearly Departed Tours and Artifact Museum located at 5901 Santa Monica Blvd, across from Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California, opened to the public in April 2017 and is owned by celebrity death & scandal empresario Scott Michaels.

The location includes the meeting place lobby for the Dearly Departed Tours and the adjoining Artifact Museum with its centerpiece of Jayne Mansfield’s death car, a smashed 1966 Buick Electra convertible.

Scott Michaels, a Hollywood celebrity scandal and death expert who has appeared on several TV programs, including his own E! program: Hollywood Death Trip, coined the term “Death Hag” to describe himself and his tour and museum customers who love the dark underbelly of Tinsel Town.

Scott Michaels told the press, “We’re not the Smithsonian, but we are a home for the remnants of a Hollywood that’s really long gone but that people still love.”

In 2018, Dearly Departed Tours was named “Most Loved Cultural Institution” by Time Out Los Angeles.
