David Casasnovas is a former Spanish professional football player. He spent his career in Switzerland. He won promotion to Swiss Super League with SR Delémont in 2002 and Neuchâtel Xamax in 2007. In his career he played 283 games in the Swiss national league and scored 63 times. He played 1 season in the Super League and 11 in the second division called Challenge League. After a great season in 2003, David Casasnovas joined the Spanish club Celta Vigo to show his potential. After 4 weeks in Spain, he changed his plan and finally decided to come back to Switzerland and answer positively to an interesting offer from FC Luzern in the Super League. The 2nd day in Luzern, he scored two goals at a friendly game but unfortunately injured his shoulder in the end of the game and lost the contrat with FC Luzern. He finally returned to SR Delémont in the second division. In 2007, he injured his shoulder again and lost the contract with Neuchâtel Xamax just before starting the season in the first division. David Casasnovas is now still active in football. He manages charity games, kids camps, scouting, and plans events around football.
