David Alexander (director)

David Alexander (December 23, 1914 March 6, 1983) was an American television director. He directed several episodes of the CBS Television series The Best of Broadway (19541955), the 1966 episode of F Troop entitled "Yellow Bird", and two episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series. He also directed the Broadway revival of Pal Joey (musical). This production had the longest run of any revival of a musical in the history of the Broadway theatre at the time.

David's son, Dale Alexander, was a key grip for shows such as The Office (U.S. TV series), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Party of Five.
