Dariyabad is a locality/township of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. by the name we can make out that is is situated on the bank of Yamuna river and Originally it was dominated by Shias, we can also see some of the historical monuments build by them. There are lots of Imambaras which are waqf nazr-e-Hussain now like Imambargah Jaddan Meer Sahab, Imambara Mazloom Husain Abidi sb., Imambara Arabali Khan, Imambara Nawab Begum (Bada Ghar), Imambara Dilbari Begum, Imambara Hussain Ali etc. There are also 3 Dargahs like for Maula Ali(A.S.),Maula Hussain(A.S.) & Maula Abbas(A.S.) where lots of devotees go for the ziyarat and it is quiet crowded on every thrusday, we also have numerous Mosques which is a place for prayers. All these monuments are located in Dariyabad, as it has Muslim dominant locality so the month of Moharram has lots of programs (Majlis & Matam) and it continue for 68 days
You can also see a brotherly hood between Shias and Sunnis as they are equal in population and a good understanding between them.
It is surrounded by River Yamuna from one side and other sides are surrounded with Baluaghat,Kalyani Devi & Meerapur.
