DYKP operating as 97.3 Boracay Beach Radio, is the FM Radio station of Dream FM Network, This station studios are located at the PhilFirst Building, Ayala Avenue, Makati City, and its transmitter is located at Station 3, Boracay. Currently, 97.3 Boracay Beach Radio is off-air.

History

In 1992 the station commenced broadcasting as KP-FM 89.7 under Westwind Broadcasting Corporation. At that time, it was located in Roxas City. In 1994, it changed its brand to KP-FM 97.3 Roxas City. In 1998, it moved its studios to Boracay Island & changed its brand again to B 97 or Boracay 97. However, in 2000, it ceased broadcasting due to lack of advertisers.

In 2010, it was sold to ABC Development Corporation (now TV5 Network, Inc.) (later transferred to Dream FM Network after its separation from TV5) & revived as 97.3 Dream FM. In June 2011, it ceased its broadcast as a call for Dream FM's demise, which happened 3 months later. However, in September 2011, it revived as 97.3 Boracay Beach Radio. Its programs from Dream FM were carried to this station and carried by Dream Satellite radio channel.

  • Angela– She handles the 9 am to 12 pm time slot playing soft hits. After closing down DYKP in Roxas, she used to work as disc jockey/announcer during the morning music programming of Radyo Natin right after the DZRH newscast. She was formerly from RMN's DYVR 93.9 FM, Westwind Broadcasting's DYKP 97.3 FM and DYRX 103.7 Star FM.
  • Francis M– (not to be confused with Francis Magalona) worked as disc jockey from 6 pm to 10 pm Mondays to Fridays and 9 am to 11 am on weekends. He used to be a Close-Up (toothpaste) model before the (Closer You and I) era and related to actors Albert and William Martinez.
