Kymopoleia

In Greek mythology, Kymopoleia (Κυμοπόλεια), latinized as Cymopoleia, was a daughter of sea god Poseidon and sea Nereid Amphitrite, and is known as the Greek goddess of the seas and earthquakes, and the wife of Briares one of the three Hecatoncheires.[1]

She was perhaps the mother of Oiolyke and Mia, who were given as the daughters of Briareus and possible possessors of the girdle that Heracles was sent to fetch. The girdle was also said to have belonged to Deilyke (otherwise unknown) or, most commonly, to Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons. [2]
