Crime and Punishment (Russian: Преступление и наказание) is a 1970 Soviet drama film in two parts directed by Lev Kulidzhanov, based on the eponymous novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky.
Plot
Rodion Raskolnikov, a student, kills an old woman with an ax for the purpose of robbery, and her sister, who happened to be in the apartment at that moment. Sonya Marmeladova, the young girl, convinces the judge to confess to the murder. Raskolnikov goes to Siberia ...
