Crash — Cop's Daughter (Russian: Авария — дочь мента, translit. Avaria — doch menta is a 1989 drama film directed by Mikhail Tumanishvili.[2][3]

Plot

Valeria is a delinquent schoolgirl with the nickname Crash, while her father, Aleksei Nikolaev, is a senior police lieutenant with conflicting duties; on one hand he has to arrest punks like her and on the other hand he has to pick up his daughter from the police department where she, along with other representatives of the youth subculture, is brought in for violation of public order. The conflict between father and daughter is foreshadowed by a shifting era, when even school teachers can not explain to their students as to why what they say changes everyday. Wild life of Crash which includes leaving home and self-harm, leads to a group rape by a gang consisting of affluent young men. The misfortune brings father and daughter closer together. Afterwards, policeman Nikolayev takes revenge on the perpetrators, neglecting the law which he has always defended. The thugs die in a car accident, Nikolayev is immediately arrested by colleagues, and Valeria asks forgiveness from her father.
